kelly is mentioned in the new espn the magzine (with 4 players from the tampa bay rays baseball team on the cover) in the outtakes section. basically it's kenny mayne (who you may know from "sportscenter" or "dancing with the stars") interviews an athlete. this week it was chipper jones, a baseball player from the atlanta braves.
KM (Kenny Mayne): Do you get recognized everywhere you go by now?
CJ (Chipper Jones): Funny story about that. Last year I was at the Daytona 500 with a friend and Richard Childress. Kelly Clarkson, who had sung before the race, came into the room. She walked my way, looking at me like she knew who I was, so I started to put out my hand. Then she pulls out a camera and asks me to take a photo of her and her friends. My buddy lost it. I'm from Daytona, so everybody knows me there. I was so embarrassed that I just wanted to go get a beer. Boy, was I put out.
i laughed so hard when i read this. i swear every time i think about cancelling my subscription to this magazine kelly ends up being mentioned in it. weird...lol i think they're stalking me.
