From J2K vs High School Muscial
« on: July 07, 2008, 01:26:34 PM »
I think the songs on From J2K is sooooo much more fun to listen too. Timeless, anytime and forever part of me beats I'm breaking free any day!

Though the story line on From J2K is a lil' rush compare to HSM.

Will be cool to hear what you all think.

also, do you think from J2K was released at the wrong time? If it was released during the time of HSM do you think it would have done better than what it did?

I figured, it may have been released at the wrong time...........beca use the 2 films are equally corny.........

Happy rating

I really can't stand HSM lol however I actually like that "Breaking Free" song kinda...
overall though the songs in my opinion are actually better in J2K and I also prefer the story in that :)

I'll have to pick J2K; I'm biased.
Both movies are equally bad, but J2K seems more adult.

neither were really good. but i did like j2k, i thought it was kinda cute. i never got into high school musical but my friends made me watch it. the actors in it were no good at all. and the actors in j2k were much better. no question which movie was better! Justin to Kelly!!

i DESPISE high school musical. the songs annoy me, the acting annoys me.

i love J2K. i got really into it..."Justin, she's right there! NO, Kelly, stop, look! Ah the paper got wet; now he can't see her number! I wanna PUNCH ALEXA!"

haha, yeah...

but i think if J2K had been a Disney channel movie, it probably woulda done well...kelly always said it was more for the kids, but since so many age groups watched american idol, all the older people watched From Justin to Kelly, and they didn't like it, not realizing it wasn't meant for their age group...

^A fabulous blend made by juliakelly05. :smiley51:     :smiley52:

ew i would NEVER watch high school musical. too much hype around it and i don't like made for tv disney movies. give me old disney movies anyday but they can keep this garbage. i'd rather watch j2k even though its cheesy but i get a good laugh out of it. then again i'd laugh at someone falling then ask them if they are okay after laughing :-/

Yeah, basically what Chase said.

J2K is cheesy, but it's cute.  HSM to me, is annoying.  Though I can never fully watch J2k...I always have to skip Alexa's solo.
I do admit, there are two songs I like from HSM, but I can't listen to them on a regular basis like I do with J2K songs.  Acting wise, I think both are the same to me.

Besides, I like Kelly and not much of a disney star fan...

I didn't realize HSM 1 was released so long ago, I personally wouldnt believe they were released at the same time but have to check and it aint worth the time.

At least with HSM there is an excuse of such youth with the acting and honestly do you think anyone here is going to admit liking something better then kelly? Maybe that is why there isnt many postings as ppl dont want to admit it lol.

I have not seen much of either but can say the kids (my nieces) prefer HSM, had a HSM2 party and are looking to HSM3
