Topic: Jenna's Poems - **update sept 25th**

Okay so this year for school and for myself it seems i'm going to be writing a lot of poems and i would like opinions on them from you guys =]
Heres a poem i just wrote today for fun...i'll update more later

Warm Summer Nights
The warm summer nights were fading away
But the little girl still wanted to go outside to play
Her father told her to end her long tirade
Yet, her innocence made her brave and unafraid

When her father retired for the night to bed
Out of the house and into the darkness she fled
Only thing in sight was her and her bike
Suddenly the roads began looking alike

“Where am I?” she cried in agony to herself
Unaware of the peril this presented itself
Out of the alleyway marched a stranger
She came to the realization that she was in danger

Once the foreigner came into the light
Her face softened – she knew it would be alright.
The man in front of her didn’t look mad like she suspected
Instead relieved his only daughter was safe and protected.

aaaaaaaaaaah what a story! a story in a rhyme, dont see it that much! It is soo sweet...its nice! You use the AABB rhyme scheme but it doesnt look a forced rhyme. Nice job!

Stars
The stars don’t shine tonight
They aren’t visible through this dark night
The ominous clouds are blocking them
And pollution even seems to be making them disappear
But I need those stars
At least one star
One star to look up to
And show me the way back north
The way to go to follow my dreams
To keep reaching for them
But those stars are gone
Slowly fading away until nothings left

i like ur poem!!!  Although, seeing that I've been diagnosed with metrophobia, Bibliophobia, Scolionphobia, Testophobia, and Sphophobia; it is hard to read poetry but i got over my fears very quickly while reading your poetry and loved ur poetry!
