thanks for your reply clint and yeah Natasha's death was a tragic one but I didn't want to go for the obvious and the one I posted caught my attention cause they are my favorite couple in cinema history so it made it all the more poignant and I've also always thought she looked even more gorgeous pregnant and I'd never heard about it until I read it in Imdb.com messageboards because neither of them ever spoke about it publically becaause of the fact their respective film studios at the time wouldn't let them because of the sexual moraes of the era and the fact that he wasn't divorced from his first wife Jackie Witte with whom he had three young children Scott 7 Susan 4 and Stephanie 3 when he got her as they say today Knocked up on the set of the Movie Long Hot Summer in late september early October 1957 about a week or so into the 1 7/8 month shooting Sechuedle which ended up over time and over budget anyway
here's a picture of them together during one of her later pregnancies

aren't they just darling together here as she tries in vain to hide the fact she's expecting again so the paparazzi don't pounce on them and try to take pictures of her growing belly and I think it's even sweeter because he's holding a stuffed animal in his suit jacket

sadder was he wasn't able to be with her when she had the miscarriage because he'd flown back to NY to film The Movie Cat On A Hot Tin Roof which must have been tortoure for him being away from her the love of his life as she recovered from losing the baby they'd so deeply loved must have been heart wrenching for him though he made up for that on weekends after she healed and came back to the states

here's a Picture from the happier days of their honeymoon

aren't they precious here only to have their dreams shattered a week or so later when without warning the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage their first public appearence together after which was the Premier of Long Hot Summer at Batton Rouge Louisiana March the 5th 1958 the night before filming for Cat on A Hot Tin Roof Began which my favorite scene in that film also had to be the most emotionally wrenching for Paul to shoot the one where brick and Maggie are Locked in the bedroom and he tells her their going to make the baby because after all he'd just lost an unborn child
