"The Time Traveler's Wife" -- Are You Going to See It?
« on: August 12, 2009, 06:09:01 AM »
I finally finished reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger yesterday. It's a deeply moving love story about soulmates conquering death and time. I can't wait to see the film adaptation (opening nationwide on Friday, August 14). Actress Rachel McAdams even dyed her hair red (like the character Clare). Ironically, Kelly Clarkson is now a red head. Are you going to see "The Time Traveler's Wife"? I'm definitely going this weekend. Thanks.

P.S. I highly recommend the bromantic comedy "I Love You, Man" (now available) on DVD. It's the funniest movie of 2009 (in my opinion). I laughed my butt off! It reminded me of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple." I love the film's theme about friendship. Thanks. Have a wonderful Wednesday, KC fans. Peace.

Thanks for commenting, KC fans. "The Time Traveler's Wife" stars Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana were interviewed on NBC's "The Today Show" yesterday. Plus, Miss McAdams stopped-by "Live with Regis and Kelly." As wannabe time travelers, Rachel wants to meet Jesus and Eric wants to meet Elvis Presley (according to their "Entertainment Tonight" interview). Excellent answers! For the record: I would love to meet Kelly Clarkson before she won "American Idol." That would be "so cool." Have an awesome Thursday, KC fans! God bless. Peace. P.S. Happy Birthday, Chelz!

Thanks for commenting, KC fans. Actress Rachel McAdams looked gorgeous in her white dress at the premiere for "The Time Traveler's Wife." She brought her family to the film's premiere. Plus, Brad Pitt (serves as one the film's producers). Here's some fun facts about Rachel McAdams (her mother is a nurse, she's originally from Canada, and she used to work at McDonald's). Miss McAdams reminds me of legendary actress Meryl Streep. Rachel embodies every role that she plays (similar to Ms. Streep). McAdams's acting resume includes: "Mean Girls," "The Notebook," "Wedding Crashers," "Red Eye," "The Family Stone," "State of Play," and of course, "The Time Traveler's Wife."

Thanks for commenting, 2468girl. For the record: I enjoyed the faithful film adaptation of "The Time Traveler's Wife." Actress Rachel McAdams (as Clare) steals every emotional scene. I love Rachel's expressive face and smile! Screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin kept the spirit of the novel (despite editing the supporting characters). My final grade: A-. P.S. Here's my five favorite movies about time travel: 1.) "Back to the Future" 2.) "Frequency" 3.) "Deja Vu" 4.) "Somewhere in Time" 5.) "The Lake House" P.P.S. There's a great interview with Rachel McAdams in "Us Weekly" magazine (pg. 70). The film is reviewed on page 82.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" came in third at the weekend box office. The film made about nineteen million dollars.

I love how the marketing campaign for "The Time Traveler's Wife" used the Lifehouse song "Brokenhearted" in the film's trailer. It's a great song! Perfect for the movie.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" stars Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana interview each other on moviefone.com. Rachel also was interviewed on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" last Friday. Miss McAdams laughed at Jon's jokes.

Henry DeTamble from "The Time Traveler's Wife" ranks #1 on the San Francisco Chronicle's 11 Things: Fictional Librarians Not To Mess With. There's also a photo of the film's stars Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana (dressed up for the wedding scene). Thanks.

Borders bookstore is promoting the novel and film of "The Time Traveler's Wife." I saw the movie's trailer playing in the store. That's so cool!

"The Time Traveler's Wife" fell to seventh place at the weekend box office. BTW: Actress Rachel McAdams can be seen in the political thriller "State of Play" (now available on DVD).
