There are news from the American Idol committee that this season, they have found one 15 year old singer who can sing exactly like kelly and could "Kelly a real run for her money". That is so making me mad. How can they try to replace Kelly with some 15 year old soundalike to re-establish the credibility of the show.

I don't know what to think or feel after reading this. Kelly was the first and original American Idol who help catapult the show to what it has become today but now they are trying to tell people that there are people who sing like Kelly too. Kelly is like Mariah and Whitney-unique. I'm so mad.

         The thing to remember is that American Idol is a business,and like any business,they're going to do whatever it takes to "sell their product".Please keep in mind that that what you have in this situation is a 15 year old who dreams of singing (and is certainly not to blame for any articles that come out about her,whether they be positive or negitive),and a show (american idol),that,is going to do whatevers neccassariy to keep itself afloat.Please remember that music,like many things,is a matter of opinion,so if people end up liking this personl better than Kelly,that's people's opinion,no different than if someone likes kelly better than Carrie,and vice versa.

                                  Overall,you probably shouldn't be angry with AI.they've lost Simon,Paula,and quite a few people have said that the show might end up going under. They're gonna do what they have to to keep it going,even if it means hyping up one of their contestants.As for the person themselves,they're a teenager who's trying to live a dream,and for that,they deservealot of credit,so rather than being angry with them,or the show,I think we should wish them all the luck in the world,and whether they turns out to be "another kelly' or not,only time will tell.

like eric said it's business and idol needs a new kelly or carrie to keep the show on air if this season fails to impress it's done so they will call every female a new carrie or kelly or daughtry or adam lambert

Keep in mind also, Kelly has been trying to distance herself from Idol in the past few years. She still loves that thats where she came from, but also ultimately, everything is left up to fan perspective too. They may say "She'll give Kelly a run for her money" but Kelly is a firmly established artists. If they want a fifteen year old, she is going to have to work hard and I doubt she knows what she is in for.
Don't be too upset. No one is replacing Kelly.

Sorry guys. I have been a kelly Fan for so long thats why I feel so strongly when I heard about this news. I want Kelly to be the best american idol.

i just watched the audition of the 15-year old girl who was supposedly the next "Kelly Clarkson". She is nth like Kelly. She can sing really well, but she didn't display the soulfulness which kelly did during her audition. Phew~

I didn't watch it myself,but I think if this girl is trying to live a dream,more power to her.Like angel said,she'll find out just how hard the music business is,then we'll see whether she's up to it or not.In the meantime,we shouldn't resent her,it's really not her fault what people say about her,if people compare her to kelly,that's their opinion.Of course,she'll have a loooooooooooooooooo ong way to go before she can be even compared to kelly,but even if she never reaches that point,she can still end up a good singer.

i dont know if he should have said shes"the next kelly clarkson". i think maybe he meant she could have maybe success like kelly has and maybe peeople will embrac eher like they did kelly when she came off idol. idk but dont you worry, there will never be another kelly clarkson, she is defintely one of a kind in my eyes. but amny ppl idolize her and want to have her success and so maybe thats what the 15 yr old is trying to be like, KC

She's a pretty good singer.I wouldn't compare her to Kelly,she has alot to prove before she can compare to any proffessional artist.but she does have the talent to become a professional. Maybe not another KELLY,but she is quite good.

 Lauren Alaina is being brought it to make Breakaway 2 (shes already got the deal. I can almost  guarentee that). The producers are Arts who think that giving a 16 year old Breakway outtakes will rebirth the franchise. The judges comments from last night all but confirmed this.

So be peprared to feel angry for a really long time. Especially if she is actually successful which sadly if they put a country spin on Breakaway 2 she will be.
