MTV plans to air a special honor concert to the late Amy Winehouse on Wednesday at 6:30 pm ET/PT Tuesday in London.
On the day Amy Winehouse was expired, MTV announce a special honor concert to celebrate the late singer’s life and musical legacy. Kelly Osbourne will arrive with other mourners for the cremation of Amy Winehouse on Wednesday.
They dug into their leaps to find her rarely-seen performances – special taped in April 2007 year, when she was at the height of her superstardom. The video recording was taken from a close set, which took place at Times Square studios as part of “45th at Night” live series.
This concert will feature Winehouse singing such songs as “You Know I’m No Good”, “Me & Mr. Jones”, Rehab”, and “Back to Black”. A duet-song with Mos Def will also be included.
Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London Apartment on Saturday, July 23. Condolences and honors have since flooded the web to tribute her. Some celebrities like Katy Perry, Rihanna, Usher and Kelly Clarkson lamented her death on Twitter accounts by posting heartfelt messages.
However, Microsoft came under fire – when posting a commercially provoked obituary. Their tweet which read as ‘Remember Amy Winehouse by downloading the ground-breaking ‘Back to Black’ over at Zune” was considered “insensitive”. They were forced to delete it and issue an apology.
Amy Winehouse has cremated at the Golders Green Crematorium in North London. Among those playing final honor to the “Back to Black” singer on Tuesday, were her former bodyguards got a chance to take a picture with the singer’s remains for one last time.
