Posted on: November 11, 2008, 02:33:41 PMhey everyone, I just wanted to let y'all know that might start to keep on writing again, cuz my grandpa gave me inspiration again. my grandpa died today :'( at the age of 79, he has been struggeling with his lungs for 18 years, the doctors thought he had lungcancer in one lung, so they got out half of that lung, but then they saw that the other lung also had something to do with cancer and only had 8% lungcapicitie (sp) and the other lung on had 25% left, but when they got the tests back of the lung with 25% left, they found out he didn't had cancer there, so he had only 1/3 lung left. he already has been loads of times in the hospital, atleast 3 times each year. and 7 years ago, he already almost died, but fought back and survived, untill today May 1st 2009. he still made jokes untill the very end. like he said that he wanted alcohol in his infuse, lol and stuff like that. but what i wanted to say is, i might be going to write a Dutch poem about my Grandpa Wim and i might be going to read it in the church at the funeral, at least i'm going to try to. well Rest In Peace Grandpa, i'm going to miss you loads, you're are a the strongest person i've ever known, you're a real fighter.

My grandma said on the phone to my mom "I hope God takes him soon" and he heard her prayers, so that was sweet.

I already lost my other grandma and grandpa when I was also something like 9 or 10 and now I only have 1 grandma left but he passed on quietly, he didn't had any pain and I think he waited untill almost everyone was there with him in the room and the doctor was also there when it happened but i'm happy that he didn't felt any pain and that he didn't choked or anything, cuz that would have be not a nice way to pass on. My dad's mom died before I was born and his dad left when my dad was little and he hasen't since him since. My mom's mom died in 2001 so I have no grandparents left . Thats good that he went peacefully and that he felt no pain. I know right now its very hard for you, but just know that he will always live in your heart. Also that you have so many wonderful memories of him. Yes that is very sweet. Before my grandma passed she said I need to go be with my husband and grandson(my cousin died when he was 2 ) and it was like a day or two before she went.

I also wish you were here, that would really help me a lot I think. But let's hope that you can come to me this summer. awwwww, I'm really sorry to hear that *hugs*, then your story sucks more. yes, I was also glad about that he went peacefully and felt no pain. I'm sorry about your cousin, that must have been really hard *gives Brooke big hugs* I also love you forever and thank you so much for the hugs.

ow yeah, yesterday we deceided that I'm also going to design the cover of the Churchbook for the family. And I'm also going to read a part of the Churchbook when 7 nieces and nephews light 7 candles. My sister is going to light a candle. And the funeral is on wednesday.
