[Kellys Mini Me]

Hey yall, I've been writing some poems lately, since I've been going through some crap and thats the best time to write poems for me. Please let me know what ya think More poems will be posted as time goes on.

12/17/06

It Still Sleeps

Happiness is never found
The search exhausts me everyday
Trudging through life with no sole purpose
Breathing without a reason to live

Still I sit here, wondering my day away
Waiting for a reason to be placed in front of me
I think of going to sleep and I can't close my eyes
Because through my eyelids I see no one

If only there was someone to warm my cold
To soften the harshness of the journey
Awaken a side of me that still sleeps
And when you come, I'll be waiting with eyes wide open


Tomorrow

Don't think of me, I'll be okay
As long as the wall between us stays
Until a mistake between us leaves it to crumble
And we'll never know if it was meant to happen
Only when the mistake is realized to not be one

Tomorrow it will start all over
Like the burn has subsided
Gone away and blown out with the wind
If only we knew how to make this work
Flow down the river without a delay

It tears me apart to think of us
Trying so hard yet the pain returns
Everytime we grow apart we tend to forget
Why don't we remember the desires we've shared
Maybe we can't make our dream to be real

Empty

My instincts tell me not to go
It's safer here in the comfort I already have
Still your smile leads me to think twice
Begging me to let you take me in
Because maybe, just maybe, you love me more than him

It's unbearable to think of leaving
So I take the safe route by turning you down
And now that you're gone I feel incomplete
Reconsidering if my heart should go to him
Or is it too fragile for anyone to hold

Maybe he'll crush it but evidently he hasn't
My heart is still whole and yet I feel empty
Now do I risk handing it to you
Can I trust you with all that I have
Will this be a mistake, I'll have to find out

Please let this be worth while
Prove me wrong in my doubts toward you
If my love is ended, if it's lost
You comfort me enough to think it never will
So I hope I don't prove you wrong instead

When you?re torn deep inside
When you?ve got nothing left
What had been there fades away

Who will you turn to?
Who will you call on?
To comfort you, to listen
To be selfless and be there

Do you know or are you stuck?
Stuck in the middle, alone in a world
Where you feel no one cares
But honey could you be wrong?

If you could see how much I have to give
All your troubles would fade to grey
I?ll be there for every step
Everything that would ever matter

Honey, please listen to me now
Listen like I?ve done for you
Return a favor, one that means something
Just listen and you?ll see

Right Now

Right now we feel
Head over heels
Like we know everything
About each other
Like we're old and grey right now
Known each other forever
And sometimes its too good to be true

They tell me not to love you like I do
What they say doesn't matter to me
They don't know us like we do

I Never Knew

I never knew
I never knew it was possible
To find a place in your heart
A place for someone you never knew

To have sympathy
To feel empathy
To wish you could have been there
Been there to help them through it

If you were here
If you were here right now
Right at this moment
You have no idea how I would feel

Without even knowing it
Or maybe you do know it
You help me so much without trying
Get through the worst and see the best

I can relate to you
Relate to you on so many ways
Not exactly but almost completely
I think about you everyday

What I wonder
I wonder if I?ll follow your footsteps
I want to know how you did it
But for now I will never know

How it felt to be two people
But I?ll wait until I see you, on my dying day

If I Could
If I could fly to the moon
Do something I have never done
And I was given a choice
To pick you or fulfill my dreams

In a heart beat I would pick
You, the one I love forever
Its never ending so I would choose
To be with you forever

Being in your arms is better
Than a trip to teh moon and the stars
Because when I'm with you
All I need is everything I've already got




My Best Friend

They say you're a man's best friend
But I would have to disagree
A girl's best friend is what you are
You mean the world to me

You're the reason I get up in the morning
The reason I look forward to coming home
Seeing your wagging tail, the love in your eyes
It makes all the effort worth while

Unconditional love you have for me
I would trust you with my own life
I've known you for only a year now
But no one could ever tear us apart

Until the day you die I'll be there for you
And then you'll take a part of me along
One thousand tears and a peice of my heart
But until then lets cherish, the life we'll share together

Controlled

You think you?re right
You think I?m not
You think you know me
But you don?t

Like you control me
Like you know what I should do
Like you?re inside me
Controlling my every move

If you could see
Just what it?s like
To be on the outside
Looking in

You would stop in your tracks
Give up your act
Go back to your own life
And leave me alone

But that won?t happen
Because of course, you?re right again
You?ve proved me wrong
I can never win

So should I give up?
Or keep fighting back
To prove you wrong without a fight
And show you what its like
   To be controlled by you

Hypocrite

Tell me not to do that
But you do the same yourself
Tell me to do this right
But you never try yourself

Say to me how I should be
But how you never were
Try and make me perfect
Like you could never be

You lie to me, you hurt me
But I can?t lie to you
You hate it when I hurt you
So why do you make rules like that

You never say a good thing
It?s always something I did wrong
And yet you don?t listen
When I want to tell you how I feel

What I don?t get is how she
Is supposed to look up to me
When I can?t even look up to you
For someone to show me the way

BEST FRIENDS (an acronym)

Best friends stick together,
Even when times are rough.
Sticking it out when
They are separated, and

Finding ways to stay together.
Rich or poor, no one cares
I know that this is true.
Endless care and although
Not always peaceful,
Doing what they can to make it right.
So here?s to all of my best friends!

Teasing Dreams

I wake up in the dark,
And cry myself back to sleep.
Because I realized that my dream,
Was not happening in front of me.

It was only images in my head,
That tease me every night.
Make me believe it?s truly there,
When it?s just another dream.

But they keep me hopeful,
Of what could possibly come.
That someday this dream would come true,
And those dreams would go away.

What is my dream you ask?
Well you can probably guess this.
But in my heart I know if I keep dreaming,
I will meet Kelly someday.

Life without Love

Without love life would be
A pointless journey through time
No thought to any action
Not a care in any tears

Life without love
Is like an ocean without
Crashing waves to give it life
Or the sun to give it light

Life with out love
Is like a school without
Children to give it fun
Books to give it a purpose

Life without love
Has no effect in the end
On the person that lives
A life without somebody to love

Myself, Yourself
I will always be the person that I choose
To tell you that I am
And never who I?m not
Or who you want me to be

You are who you want
And I don?t try to change that
So why do you care about
Changing who I want to be

I will never be someone else
Because everyone is taken
But if I am myself
Why can?t you be too?

You try to be like me
Because you?re not pleased with whom you are
But please, take my advice
And become pleased with your true self

If you try and be who your not
Throughout your whole life
Then your life is not full
Only empty of yourself

Tell me you?re there for me
But please don?t lie
I?ve had enough hurt
And I don?t think that I
Can take anymore

Tell me you love me
Like I have always done for you
But I need you to mean it
Because without you to hold me
I have no one to do it

Tell me I can trust you
I find it hard to do
Because with every person that hurts me
I find it harder to let someone in
Harder to let myself trust you

Tell me I?m the only one
Comfort me when I need it
Hold me when I?m scared
Wipe my tears when I cry
And I?ll be there for you

But it doesn?t come close
It is so much more than that

Best Friends

I?m feeling down and alone
So where do I turn?
I turn to you, you?re always there
To guide me through the good and bad

Anything I have to say
I?m not afraid to say it

To have all of you

I can be myself, and if I?m not
You will tell me the truth
You care for me, I care for you
That?s the way it works

No matter what I do in life
You will always be by my side
Pushing me through, getting me on my feet
Telling me to keep my chin up

You understand, you don?t deny
Listen, talk, and when it counts,
You keep your promises and my secrets
Don?t turn on me or leave my side

So thank you for being a friend
More like a sister in the end
And I know you will still be here when we?re old and grey
Just like you have been my whole life

True Friend or Fake?

If you want to be my friend
Then please make up your mind
I don?t mean to be rude
But it?s getting pretty old

One day you choose to ignore me
Like I?m not good enough for you
And now you say we are best friends
But I doubt it?s really true

Before I know it you will be against me
Like we never knew each other
So do I go with you again?
Or stay away before I get hurt

You confuse me so much
You say you hate her, so I wonder
If you say the same about me
Or do you even know what you want

At times you act fake
And I don?t even know you anymore
A whole different person
Other people notice too

So cake on the makeup
And keep acting like who you?re not
Because one day people will see
Who you are, or who you?re not

your poems are great Holly, i like them. and your right writing is also my medicine and Kelly also helps me with her songs and she also doesn't know and i also want tell her and thank her, she means the world to me, just like ya'll on here So i understand what your trying to say in your poems, i know some make-up girls on our school, but i've never talked with them, those kinda persons always act like their everything, but their not, their just like everybody else, only they hide it and that's weak, because it's better to act like yourself, then be someone fake.
