Ok, I'm a dork, but today is like the happiest day of my life in a long time. I got out of a real bad relationship(parents divorced) and all day have been singing A moment like this and Breakaway. Whoo Hoo I love life!!! I moved to a new apartment and have a masterbed room with my own bathroom! I love it.

You know, it was actually for the best. Spirit wise they were divorced a long time ago, but now they are not around each other much so they don't fight nearly as much as much. Especially for me, its better I don't hear that. As Kelly would say I'm a sponge. Ok well I'm not a kid, but she'd probably still say that.

I'm so happy for you that you got out of that kind of thing. I know what it's like (well kinda). It was just my mom and me until I was in 4th grade, when she met her new boyfriend Andrew. He moved in with us and they were even engaged for a while. Then my mom got pregnant and had my brother, Hunter, 4 and a half years ago.

My mom and Andrew started to fight...a lot. Like every day. And he was an alcoholic on top of that, so his drinking just made it worse. He finally left last November, right before Thanksgiving. It was really hard for my mom and especially my brother. He was 3 at the time and didn't understand where his daddy had gone. But as time went on I could see my mom losing a lot of her stress. I didn't realize that he had put so much stress into her life. And I could also see myself becoming destressed. It was nice to be able to go somewhere or do something without having to worry about what he was going to say about me.

And now that I've moved out and I'm living here at school, I can see a lot more of the weight still being lifted. I mean I know that I should still be worried about what's going on at home (especially my brother..he's a sponge like you said). But it's nice to be on my own and worry about my own life for a chance. Not someone else's.

I hope your brother will be ok. That has to be rough just having this new guy move in, but I'm happy your in a better place. I actually was not able to make that big of a change. I was living with my Mother who was my "Because of you"(as well as my brother) She has anger problems so to be closer to school I went to live with my Father who's my "Beautiful Disaster" He drinks every night and is just a major let down. Before the accedent I was starting to feel stress again, but its no were as near the pain I felt with my Mother, partly because he is never home. Someday soon I should be able to move into college housing and things should pick up. Though I'm REAL happy I got away from her. She kept me from doing things I wanted and needed to do. Its a step up.
