Topic: Another newbie!

Hello everyone, my name is Kackie! I am almost 21 years old and my two younger sisters told me all the time about this singer they loved named Kelly Clarkson. We don't watch TV (are we the only people alive who don't or what?), only movies, so I had never seen American Idol.

Like most everyone, probably, when my I heard Breakaway, I was hooked. The song was a defining song for that period of my life, and don't we all feel like that sometimes?? Just wanting to break away!

My sisters helped me discover Kelly's music, which I do love, but also what a wonderful person she is. As I looked through her website and read some of the things she has written, I had to smile a lot and I found I really like her! She is not much older than me, she has a great sense of humor and is out there doing what she loves! I am an author with a self published book who is trying to promote my own book while writing, which is my dream come true but a lot of work. Kelly is such an inspiration to me!

And.. she and I both baked our first cakes this Christmas, and she said she was insanely excited about it, which I was too! What an awesome girl!

My favorite Kelly Clarkson songs, at the moment, are Walk Away, Beautiful Disaster and You Found Me. I can't wait for her new album and hope to be able to catch her in concert if she comes up here to NH!!!

It is wonderful to meet all of you and I hope to get to know you soon!

Hello Brooke! I was just reading some of your posts   This is a great place and I have been having fun learning more about Kelly. I have never known other Kelly fans outside of my sisters, so it is fun to meet all of you! I am a Keith Urban fan too, so you will probably hear me talking about him sometimes, lol. The funny thing is, Sep 05, Kelly came to Boise, where I was at the time. Her concert was the week before my first concert ever, that being Keith. It was sooooooo good! Now I wish I had gotten to go to both, but I had never been to a concert before and have been a Keith fan since 2003, so I HAD to see Keith lol. It was kinda fitting that he was "my first"  lol

I posted some of my book in the fanfic/poetry section, if you guys want to read any of it. I hope you like it!

Brooke, that pic in your siggie is so pretty! I have never seen it before, is it from a photoshoot or album sleeve jacket or something?

I'm not sure where its from I found it a few weeks ago on a website but I don't remember what one lol. aww that sucks that you couldnt see Kelly but its awesome that you got to see Keith! I like some of his music. I haven't seen Kelly in concert yet either and I have been a fan since she was on AI so it sucks but I'm really hoping that this year will be the year that I finally see her in concert. Anyways it was nice to meet you and I will go check out your story.

Yeah, sometimes it is better though when you are someone's fan and you REALLY wanna see them and have to wait longer... it means more when you go. I nearly cried I was so happy to see Keith in concert. I went to Conn to see him in Oct but when I was about to get on the bus down my friend's mom called and said Keith cancelled. I went down anyway because the fan club was getting together but when I got there, I found out he had cancelled because he went into rehab. I was really sad to miss his concert but more sad because I knew he was feeling miserable about it. He is out now, though and will be back in US for concerts this summer. A dear friend of mine bought me a ticket to see him Mass to make up for missing Connecticut. That will be so cool!

Hopefully you and I will have this summer be THE year for seeing Kelly, right??

hey Kackie, nice to meet you, WELCOME TO KELLYVILLE i'm Thera, I'm 19 and i'm from Holland cool that you wrote a fanfic, i'm also going to check it out, just like Brooke btw where are ya from and how young are ya? and is Kackie your real name or is diff yeah i know i'm curious, sorry if i'm asking too much, you don't have got to answer it, if ya don't want to btw it's freakin coolbeans that you've got your own book we also have got lots of writers on Kellyville, but not professional ones of course, hehe i also have posted like 60 to 70 poems here on Kellyville and i also have got my own fan fiction that's called "Just Dreams Or Reality" i hope you can read it, cuz it would be awesome if a proffesional writer reads all the stuff that we all wrote and i think that you comment diffrent on them, then we all do to each other, but idk, haha btw i'm rambling as usual, LMFCBBO

DieHardKellyFan, I am almost 21 and I live in the United States! I would love to see your poems. I will look for them this evening or tomorrow and I would love to give feedback for the people on here who would like it! I have been doing feedback for people for a year or so and also teach a free online character building class! If anyone would like to take that, let me know. I do it over IMs and in person. I'll be teaching it to a high school class here in March!

I am also a big Johnny Depp and Ewan McGregor fan. I also love Gerard Butler and lately Brad Pitt LOL.

ahhhh yes, Johnny Depp is amazing!!!! I love him in Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands, Pirates, and Finding Neverland especially!!!!

This board takes soooo long for my dial up to load, that's the only thing that is kinda frustrating. I hate dial up!

I am hoping to look through the fan fic section this evening and hopefully start reading some of everyone's work!!!

I have not seen the Ninth Gate yet but sometime I will! I have seen the Astronaut's Wife though, with Johnny and that was pretty creepy!!! Especially the ending.

I have dial up so it is really, really slow anyway but this site takes a longer time to load because of all of the beautiful graphics, but it is worth it, because I love the pics!! So I just have to be patient. That's part of why I can't reply very fast though Stupid dial up!
