Topic: What are good songs to learn to play in the guitar?

I've started playing the guitar and have the chords down.

Can anyone recommend songs to learn for beginners? Or songs any guitar play must know how to play?

haha I just started playing to!!....I dunno what songs are good thought .....I am trying to lean "I'm not knocking on heavens door" but I have to work on the chords changed lol I'm really slow at it.

I have been trying "stairway to heaven " kinda getting the hold of it and then behind these hazel eyes (acoustic) and some red hot chili peppers ;P thats what i have been playing.

Thanks for the post... is electric or acoustic easier to play?

I'm not sure cuz I have only played acoustic...but I think acoustic would be easier cuz you wouldn't have to do as much slideing

I think its easier to play electric but I woul deffanetly learn to play guitar and the grips and syuff on the acoustic...;P

You should try Low!
That was a easy song for me!
Got it in about a week!! (school kept me busy...)

And I think acoustic is easier...
I may be wrong...but it was easier for me!!

I think BTHE is hard! I just can't seem to get it right. Is it even possible to singalong while playing?  BOY is quite easy, I don't know how to play 2 chords, so I usually just skip them, lol!

A good beginner's song is Avril Lavigne's Nobody's Home. Only 4 simple chords to learn.

lol, now i also wanna learn and play guitar, the electric guitar looks cool, but the acoustic one too of course and it would be amazing to play Kelly's songs on a guitar, that would totally rock
