BTHE - KC
Knocking On Heavens Door - Bob Dylan
I'm a Believer - Smash Mouth
Low - KC
Breakaway - KC
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day
Complicated - Avril Lavigne

(That's all I can think of right now...I'll post more when I remember)

Good luck!

I wondered that when I began but honesely just practice changing chords and sturmming diffrent ways and it should come natrually and listen to the song and you'll reconize if you strum up or down or whatever and try it and see if it sounds right....thats on a acoustic guitar

Normally I would try to find an acoustic performance of that song on Youtube, and then try to listen to the strumming from that.
And then, I will try to get the rhythm and mouth the "tut tut" sound under my breath, and then translate that to my strumming hands. Wow, okay, I shall call this the "Tut-tut sound method"!  :D

Um yea, the Ultimate guitar site is hella good...

also try www.thetabworld.com

But yea, as for songs to learn...try Led Zeplin - Stairway to Heaven ; Chilli Peppers - Under The Bridge; Metallica - Nothing Else Matters; Chilli Peppers - My Friends; Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams...

those are all choice choonz to jam, and not too hard either  ;D

Happy learning

At first, I thought tabs are easier too, because you get to see the individual strings to pluck etc. But then it just gets tedious and hard to figure out the rhythm etc.
Chords, to me, is simpler in the sense that you just need to memorise the positions of fingers for each chord, and then just repeat it whenever the chord sheet calls for it.  ;)
