It's a bad image for Kelly, so yes it would be wise of her to make up. In the past she has been known as the sweetheart, the girl that seems so "real." Now, she has made some nasty comments about Davis and become another Hollywood star in regards to tabloids and boy are they having fun with this feud. It's the center focus instead of "My December" which should be the center focus. People have turned away from her music because of the "new Kelly Clarkson." A lot of people say that she needs to get over it, which I can't argue against. Simon's right about this one,  "Kiss and Make-up" would help Kelly.

yes they should but you also have to remember they are blowing it out of porportion they make it seem liek they had this whole big fight when kelly even said she sat down with him and they talked she didnt just shout it out at him ... and if kelly belives in somehting she should do it... i dont know why clive worried the money he was offering kelly 10,000,000 can make up for if the album flops which i wont think it will

I mean its all cool Kelly standing up for her believes but I think she should cut back on what she says in interviews about Clive (although how much of this is true we dont know)  but yeah the press are loving turning Kelly into some diva which she is far from .... plus they are going crazy with the cannibis story as well like anything Kelly they are turning into a negative!!

Yup. I also think Kelly should kiss and make up. I love Kelly and I think she's a wonderful person, but I'm not blind for her mistakes. And she DID make some rude comments that weren't neccessary. I am a firm believer that anyone deserves a chance to differ from someone else - the main thing is just HOW you differ. Like, you can sit down and have a civilized conversation and solve the whole thing OR you can yell at each other (which I'm not saying she did) and make rude comments. The first option just sounds A LOT better to me than the second one. If Kelly kisses and makes up, it can only be good for her reputation if she can admit that she was wrong. That way the public who reads the tabloids will also see that she's only human and makes mistakes as well. Then they won't think of her as being a diva or a brat. It can always be a good thing to have Clive Davis on your side in the music industry. Lol. Go for it, Kell!

Unless Clive starts giving Kelly more Artistic freedom, then she shouldn't end the "feud". And they never said they hated eachother, they just disagree with her music. She shouldn't just let Clive walk all over her and conform to what he wants. I can't even imagine the battle Kelly is going to go through getting her next album out, because from what I am hearing about it, it is even less mainstream then "My December". I'm even afraid he won't let it out this time, because he will use the weak "My December" sales as a reason. I think she should do whatever music she wants and she will never conform to his views. If she ends the feud, then she is basically giving up and letting Clive win. She has to fight to get HER music out there, not HIS music.

Regardless of what happened... Kelly shouldn't still be going around talking about it in magazines.. it's bad press and it's going to reflect badly on her in the end. She should let it go and not say disrespectful things about Clive in magazine articles.. We get you're a strong woman Kelly, you've proven that time and again, but it's time to let it go or it's going to hurt you.

Deserve it or not it still makes Kelly look like a diva, which to people like me who only read/see tabloids on the cover of magazines at grocery stores it can affect the way we think of the artist. I never read the articles because it's a waste of time. However, seeing a headline that says something such as "Is Britney pregnant again?" It would spark a reaction "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if that's true." Tabloids do not define an opinion on a artist, but can play an important role. Remember, after Idol Kelly has been the girl that tabloids could not get a good rumor from. That is why there were the weight and sexuality rumors. Now there is no need for them.

look most reality tv stars don't make it very successful and the one's that do i.e Kelly (who is the biggest success from a reality show) only got to her status now by taking control and showing she is going no-where ... so a little control is deffinately a possitive thing.  However too much control can be dangerous ... it means your the only person to blame when everything goes wrong ... which has been proven with Kelly recently like the tour cancelled, firing the manager, slating of MD

Kelly has poduced a BRILLIANT album and has shown her true talent for both writing and singing, but its being over shadowed by all the negative its recieving ... admit it the world just isnt ready for America's sweetheart to demand control ... however much she diserves it

None of us here know what exactly went on behind closed doors for the past 5 years. Kelly has let us in on the things that have been said to her not only by Clive but other people in the label. For five years, she has kept her mouth shut and took it all in. Kelly did not leak the disagreements to the press. RCA did. People who were in the meeting or presentation of Kelly's album said that Clive Davis humiliated and belittled Kelly's songwriting and the album. They have also told her "To just shut up and Sing." And said that "Because of You" sucked!

I agree with Simon that they should kiss and make up. And that some things should be left behind closed doors. But like I said, things would not have come out to the media if Clive and the label did not leak it to the press. If Clive and the label could of just supported Kelly to release this album. She asked for this one chance but they took their pretty little time and just bad-mouthed her and even threatened to shelve the album. If Clive and the label only gave this album a chance, the outcome would not have been like this.

They both made their mistakes but Kelly has integrity, and that is something to be admired. If a person is willing to turn down $10 million, doesn't that say alot about a person?

What's with the whole FOX news conspiracy? Every article they write about Kelly talk about how crap her new album is. The latest one called it a dud because sales have dropped. This being said after she has already outsold Rhianna--the supposed it girl of the summer. Album sales are down in general. Kelly hasn't released a new single with the album to bump up sales. They also fail to mention the growing success of BOY with Reba on the country charts. I'm all for honestly reporting fact, but failing to take market conditions into account is just lazy reporting.

Maybe Kelly shouldn't be so vocal, but I get the feeling that all of this is coming after a very long and hard battle. Perhaps she'll find a safe haven in camp Reba. Kelly has been blunt about the problems she has had getting this record out, but she is never vindictive. Whoever leaked the dispute in the first place has created a mountain out of what was surely a molehill. As Kelly says, this happens on every album.

Go Kelly! Release a new video and single! This album may be a sleeper and will surprise everyone--even Kelly with it's long term success.
