Looking for an Open Door
She?s looking for something more,
Searching for an open door.
Waiting for a friend to come along,
And sing back her heart?s song.
Trying to find an easy way out
Wanting to know what it?s all about.
Why she fakes a smile
And forces up a laugh.
No one will know,
She?ll never let he true sadness show.
She puts on her favorite song,
Drowns out the noise that surrounds.
She doesn?t want any Sunday school answers.
She wants the truth.
Say it right to her face
She?ll handle what she can take.
How can her entire world turn upside down?
Sick of feeling so left out.
Looking for a hand to hold
To have that special touch of gold.
She?s looking for something more,
Searching for an open door,
Waiting for a friend to come along,
