Only becuz kelly called it her favorite in the beginning did I pick that song. I think she could do awesome with alot of phils songs or some harder rock style song from phils group genesis.

phil was here in Holland awhile ago for the musical Tarzan and he's been in a few tv programs

LOL...well, I did know he worked a lot with Tarzan but my dad is a pretty huge fan

Ever since I read that Kelly sang along to Brandi Carlile's The Story during her SELF photoshoot, I became very curious how she'd sound. I just heard the song and fell in love with it!

This was on the SELF- Celeb Blog, written by someone who went to the photoshoot:

Anyway, at our Kelly Clarkson shoot, I discovered two new artists. Yes, embarrassingly late, but I thought I'd share anyway in case you live in a deeper musical hole than I do:

1. Lily Allen
When Kells arrived at the shoot, she was really quiet, perhaps even a bit?dare I say?grumpsters. Then, somebody put on "Smile" by Lily Allen, and Kelly seemed to almost instantly perk up. Ah, the power of suggestion.

2. Brandi Carlile
Sure, this rockin' folk singer seems to have an aversion to the letter Y (Brandi? Carlile?), but when her song "The Story" came on, Kelly started singing along?and I mean, really singing along. I ran over to the iPod and wrote down the name of the song, which I downloaded right after the shoot. It's a good one to belt out.

cool thanks for postin. I like Lily Allen and Brandi Carlisle too. I also like Phil Collins but I had no idea that he had anything to do with Tarzan or Brother Bear, i think I heard about him from my parents but im not 100% sure

Welllllll you still think I heard of him through those movies, but nopers. I listened to the soft rock station A LOT. And they play him all the time. Sooooo yeah.
