I need to add a point here...

There ahve been those who complain about this topic because their belief is homosexuality is a choice, it's wrong, or it's a religious thing... it shouldn't be allowed...

I'm not going to allow a debate over it, my personal feelings are, people need to learn about it and udnerstand that its not a choice, your born the way you are born.

Thosew that do think that way don't have to read this topic... we will not ban it, or ban anyone for their sexual preferances. That type of discrimination should not be allowed anywhere.

This is one of two reasons the topic is being watched carefully. If someone is offended by the fact that there are gay people on the site, we don't need them on this site. But warning to all who are a part of this topic.. don't purposely offend, or fight with anyone, or that would be cause to get yourself banned as well.

This is a touchy issue.. the world is still far from being able to accept such things openly (unfortunatly). Tak that into consideration as the topic continues. Maybe you al can help others understand the real issues about being homosexual, and if you get just one of those people to understand what it's really about, thats one step closer to making the word a more tolerant and better place!

I agree Kaitie... but as I tried to explain, the big problem is people who join in and make a joke of it all, or turn it into a fad.. that's not very respectable to those who live this lifestyle...

I won't even get into the people who are ignorant towards the subject, all I'll say is people should learn and understand before they judge.

Great post Alan and Katie ... and Im really happy to see your not gonna ban this topic because some people disagree thats awesome!!

I understand some religions are really against the idea of being Gay/lesbian and thats always going to be there but if there are any one who is like that and come across this topic either ignore us, we don't mean to offend you or if you want to ask questions about the lifestyle then ask, any of us will be glad to answer.

yes it is.

but you know whats sad?

there are people who will have completely forgotten that it is that day six years later.
minimum flags will be hung. people will still cut each other off on the freeway. parents will still fight with their spouses and children like nothing happened.

which is good i guess, you know? people are back to living their lives...but i feel bad for those who've lost family members or maybe their entire family.

man i will never forget that day when i was like 10, i remember it more then any other day, coming off the bus, lovely day, coming home to what looked like a movie. then i didnt really understand what was happening but now i understand the sheer terror of what them people must of felt. when i went to groudn zero it was like a different world, just so quiet and different from the rest of the city. i went into the chruch right near it what did not get destroyed, and reading all the notes that are still there really moved me. im not a soft guy, but when i looked up at what shouldve been there and what happened, it was just surreal. RIP 9/11 victims
