Where were u on 9/11?
« on: September 10, 2007, 03:11:06 PM »
as most of u know 2morrow is the sixth aniversey of 9/11. I was just wondering where you were . Well, I was in elementary school and all I cared about was that we couldn't go outside for recess. When I got home I overheard some kids talking that we might go into war and it freaked me out. That night I had a dream that the war was in my front yard.LOL I know that's stupid but I was really freaked out. So tell me where you were on 9/11. :)

i was in 4th grade. i remember leaving for lunch and then coming bac from recess and there were only 10 kids left in the class of 25. and no one would tell us what was going on. and then after school when i went o my dads store i found him on the computer and he told me and i didnt understand untill we went home ( early ) and i saw the video on the news. i think i cried for an hour just thinking about all the people that died. and i didnt even know anyone.
you are at peace now, but you left us behind, broken.   We will never forget you my little Bo Bellow.

i was in High school and in all of a sudden i heard the headmaster (idk how y'all call it, well the boss of school) telling us something about what happend in New York, so the teacher got a tv and put it in the room and we looked the news. and was so tragic and we got home early too (if i remember it right).

btw tomorrow they send a documentary out on the Dutch television about 911, 2 cameramen we're following a rookie fireman for a diffrent documentary and then in all of a sudden they saw a plane flying low and then crashing into the Empire State building, they didn't stopped filming, so now there is this documentary of it. i'm going to watch it tomorrow, i want to see that documentary.

I remember it so good.

me and a good friend where send out for a charity or something.
When we rang a bell of some home, a guy with eyes of fair was looking at us, and when we did our talk he was like 'an airplain just crassed into the WTC'. We have a WTC too in Amsterdam, adn that was nearby, so we looked that way, and we didn't see smoke fire anything, so he pulls open teh door, and like the hole family was there, and we where like, wtf is going on..

So we went to my house that was five minuts away, my dad was watching t.v. and my brother was behind the computer. 'We saw the second one coming in live'

I was young and didn't had a cleu what just had happend.
I Luvv Kate Nash.

I remember it sooo well as if it was yesterday and was only 9 years old. Nobody mentioned it in school really but when my mum came to pick me up she told me that somethin had happened in New York and that a lot of people had died, we got home quick and i turned to TV on and i remember seeing it and i remember i cried too. Ill always remember that day and i remember that night too when my friend came over because all we talked about was what had happened that day

we were all so young, practically kids, but it's something we remember so good!!

i was in 6th grade, and i just got home from school and it was a sunny day. all of sudden my mom and me heard something on the radio about world war 3 or something. i turned on the tv and it was all over each channel, it was so shocking.

I had the day off from school (9th grade) because I was getting a cat scan as well as other tests on my head. I still woke up around school time (6:30, 9:30 EST) My mom had the news on and told my father that a plane hit the Towers. I thought it was an accident. Basically I listened to the news until it was time for me to go in for my tests. Unfortunately I was still too young to really understand the affect it had. For me I was thinking "Wow!! Baseball is canceled?" but now, I have a greater understanding and I think one thing that everyone can agree on, regardless of opinions on the war, is that the people of New York united that day. It showed how strong a nation can be and our fallen heroes will never be forgotten. I agree that the events of your life that happened on this day will not be forgotten. It is like our parents/grandparents era of knowing were they where when JFK or MLK was assassinated.

I was at school in The Bronx, across the river from the city. I was at art class in 8th grade and then my teacher answers a call from someone and they tell him that some crazy things were happening at the WTC. Then little by little, everyone's parents started coming to the school and getting their kids home, and then my mom came and picked up me and my siblings. I got home, saw everything on TV, and I was shocked.

Every now and then I walk through Ground Zero and look at the empty area where the Twin Towers once stood and think about what had happened on that day. I'm sure there will be memorials there tomorrow.

i was in 7th grade and we were sitting in class when a office worker came in and asked if they could borrow a radio because something was going on in NYC. we gave them the raido and then out teacher turned on the tv to see what was going on . the principal said that we were aloud to watch because we were old enouph to understand what was going on but we couldnt talk about it in front of the younger kids because they dodnt want to scare them.

i also remember that the teachers were taling about how they were evacuating the sears tower as a procation . we looked out the window for the rest of the day because we had a clear view of it scared that something might happen .

it was only 6 years ago yet still seems like the other day. i can remember every detail of that day. By the way just so you now DIE HARD KELLY FAN incase you havent seen the documentart before its a hard thing to watch . they dont cut away from anything . it is a very sad thing to watch. just for a warning.

Thera Irish (Nora) is correct with it being something that is not anything really great to see. It wasnt even 7am here but I was up watching the news and they had switched over to cover the story then saw the 2nd plane hit. I still get the chills thinking about this all day today There are several things on you tube about this and this is a tribute yet shows things that are still hard to believe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOozRET6NSQ I know ppl that live outside the united states were in such shock and very sad like we were (still are) here, yet there is more to it then u can understand when it is so close in comparison and knowing ppl that live or work there or friends that knew ppl that died. It has had such an effect on our country and lead to a lot of changes, yet we will continue to fight for our freedom and remain such an amazing country  ;D
