I'll Prove It

This is my second fanfic of Kelly that i have finish, but the first one that I am posting on here. When I find my other story, i just might post it here as well. Anyways, here we go.

Prologue

Ever since Kelly was little, she has been told that she couldn’t do anything with her life. That she could never be anything. But she had proven everybody wrong.

Kelly ended up going to college, unlike a lot of her friends and family. They all thought that she would end up quitting.

“Why are you putting yourself through this Kelly?” asked her mom Jeanne.

“Because I am going to prove myself to you. And I don’t care if it kills me right now.”

“But why?”

“You want to know why? I will tell you why mom. I’m sick of everyone telling me that I can’t do anything. That I’m worthless. That I am not going to be someone. Guess what mom, I’m going to make it out there with or without your help,” Kelly said right before she walked out of her mother’s house.

That was the last time that Kelly had spoken to her mother. She ended up going to college and got a degree in law. But she was now a detective in her city. She had a great life. Kelly and her best friend, Jessica, had it all.

“I can’t believe that you did it girl,” Jessica said.

“I know. I guess that I will prove everyone wrong,” Kelly said as she was looking out the window of the car.

They were on their way back to their house after a little shopping.

“But you know Jess, I’m glad that I went to college. I’m glad that I got a degree in something instead of just sitting on my ass and doing nothing.”

“I’m really glad for you Kelly. You shocked us all by doing this. Now I guess that you are something.”

Kelly didn’t say anything. She just looked out the window, watching things pass by. They arrived back at their place around 5:30 that night. Once they got inside, Kelly’s cell phone rang.

“Clarkson.”

“Hey baby, what are you doing tonight?”

“Hanging out with Jessica. Why?” Kelly asked Adam.

Kelly was going out with the lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Lavine. They met each other when Kelly was a junior in college and they connected with each other really quickly.

“Well, I wanted to take you out, but if you’re with Jess, then I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Adam, why don’t you come over and the three of us can hang out together,” Kelly said, unsure of what just happened.

“Alright, I will be over in a little bit. I love you.”

“Love you too.”

Kelly hung up her cell phone and looked over at Jessica.

“Adam is coming over. I thought that the three of us could hang out together.
