The concert is set for Jan. 19 MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia University Arts and Entertainment has released plans for a concert featuring longtime country star Reba McEntire and pop star Kelly Clarkson.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum. It is part of the "2 Worlds 2 Voices 2008 Tour.
McEntire has 33 No. 1 hits and was the star of the sitcom "Reba". Her most recent album, entitled "Reba Duets" featured the duet: "Because of You" with Clarkson. That song was McEntire's first No. 1 on the pop chart.
Clarkson is the first "American Idol" winner. She has put out three albums and has been named the "most successful artist in top 40 history".
Tickets for the concert go on sale on Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. Prices range from $41 to $77, depending on seat location. Tickets will be available at the WVU Creative Arts Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and by calling 292-0220. First day tickets sales will be limited to ten tickets per customer. WVU students can get a $5 discount at campus box offices.
